Recruiting extremists

"Shiraz Maher, who joined the radical group Hizb ut-Tahrir while studying at Leeds University but later renounced his membership, told The Times Higher that universities were “bread-and-butter” recruiting grounds for extremist groups."
What I really want is to be recruited myself-I could surely do with the bread. I'm an academic, and, judging from most of my colleagues, we ought to be prime targets for recruitment. I suspect this is simply another example of misplaced anti-elitism.
