Having to...What an indictment of the school system. Having to spent money to teach people what they should have learned at school is a waste of resources. Schools have as far as I see it two basic functions, one the socialization process learning to get on with each other, in my day it was usually sorted out in the playground and the other was in bibbing facts that would be useful when you left school. The important part of the educational life of the student is the formative years, infant school and junior school. When I was as school the three Rs were the rage and rightly so, now that seem so old fashioned, Teachers now seem to be so frightened by the pc crowd that they only do the bare minimum and try and keep there nose clean and take the money and dam the rest.
